New this year, the conference will incorporate a Day on the Hill to engage members in educating national leaders and elected officials on the essential role of alternative teacher certification. The NAAC Policy Committee is working with the board of directors to take the conference to the next level of engagement.

Grow Your Own Preconference

Are you interested in Growing Your Own Teachers? If you already have a GYO program or are interested in starting one, please join the National Grow Your Own Collective to learn more about the ins and outs of successfully running a comprehensive GYO program. There will be representatives from every phase/stage of the GYO continuum to discuss best practices, lessons learned and how to move the work forward. This will be an interactive program that will provide specific hands-on tips and a community of like-minded practitioners interested in supporting each other in this important work. Lunch is included.

Secrets to Grant Seeking and Finding

Got grants?  Need some?  Learn what to START doing and what to STOP doing in your grant seeking efforts.  In this 3-hour workshop, you will dig in to what it takes to write a strong federal or state grant application and how to gain an edge over your competition.  Learn how to write for the person who matters most:  the grant reviewer who will be scrutinizing your application package.
