Regrouping NAAC’s Regions

On September 22-23, the NAAC Board of Directors met in Washington, DC. Among other issues, the board discussed the distribution of states across the five NAAC regions. To more evenly distribute the states, the board voted to make some changes to the regional groupings. The new composition of the regions are:


Region 1: Alaska, Arizona, California, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming
Region 2: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin
Region 3: Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas
Region 4: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington DC, and West Virginia
Region 5: Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont
