News & Notes

Registration now open for 30th Annual NAAC Conference!

You don’t want to miss the 2020 conference April 14-17 in Seattle. Along with key note presenter Dr. Michael McKibbin, a nationally-recognized educator and leader who spearheaded the alternative certification in-service teaching model for California that serves as a foundation for programs today, there will be a full-day Grow Your Own pre-conference (Grow Your Own Pre-Conference), super breakout sessions, other exciting and inspirational speakers and thrilling optional excursions. Registration information.

  • We want your input! Answer a 1-question poll about a pre-conference on grant writing and help customize your 2020 Annual Conference experience.
  • Proposal Committee seeks reviewers--if you've been a reviewer in the past or if you want to see what it's all about, we are looking for additional volunteers for the 2020 Conference proposal review team. Get involved with your professional organization, by participating in this time-limited (there is a definite start and end date), but critical role. Please contact us at [email protected] for more information.
  • New Educator of the Year Awards Update: Thank you to all the members who submitted a nomination! We had a record number of submissions this year. The Committee is working to complete the first round, which narrows the field to the top five, by mid-November when they will be notified. The goal is to notify the winners by mid-December before the holidays.
