Membership in the National Association for Alternative Certification is open to all educators and policy makers. We welcome members from universities and colleges of education, and from agencies authorized by law or regulation to conduct or approve licensure or certification programs. Students and interns in teacher preparation programs are encouraged to join NAAC, as are all other persons interested in and supportive of the goals of the organization.
Members support and benefit from our work to increase the availability and quality of alternative certification programs across the country. Members also benefit from:
- Information sharing and networking at our Annual Conference (members receive significant registration discounts)
- The Journal of the National Association for Alternative Certification, an online, peer-reviewed journal featuring research on alternative certification
- The NAAC Newsletter, an online and print publication highlighting association activities and news from the field
- Opportunities to compete for annual research grants
- Opportunities to nominate interns for our annual scholarship competition
